For my birthday weekend I went to Kanazawa to do some sightseeing and to go to a craft beer/food festival that was taking place. What we didn’t know was that an event to promote hokuriku tourism was also happening at the castle park. The castle grounds at every beautiful and there are different areas to see. We were distracted by the festival that had music and shows happening in addition to food stands. I bought some mikan honey.
The craft beer had beer from around Japan and I tried two fruit beers that I enjoyed. I also had a smoked cheese and egg plate that was delicious because there isn’t a lot of real cheese anywhere.
We also went to kenroku-en garden which is very beautiful but crowded. There are some spots to stop along the way but mainly you just walk through to see it. We stopped by the contemporary art museum briefly to see the free exhibits.
